CLOSED CALL FOR ARTIST – What’s Going On? Protest Art Group Show

What’s Going On? Protest Art Group Show: October 3rd – 25th at the NoBo Art Center

THIS CALL FOR ARTISTS IS NOW CLOSED. WE APPRECIATE THE OUTPOURING OF SUBMISSION. IF YOU SUBMITTED EXPECT TO HEAR FROM US BY LABOR DAY.

Throughout history, protest art has been the heartbeat of movements. From the bold posters of the civil rights era to street murals speaking against war and inequality, artists have given voice to the voiceless and power to the people.

Today, our political landscape is uneasy—divided, loud, and fraught with tension. In moments like this, art has the power to slow us down, make us think, and demand that we feel.

The NoBo Art District invites artists to submit work for What’s Going On?, an exhibition dedicated to art as protest, reflection, and resistance. We welcome work in all forms—painting, photography, sculpture, street art, digital, installation—that addresses injustice, calls for change, or gives hope in the face of uncertainty.

This is not just an exhibit. It is a platform for dialogue. A space to ask hard questions and imagine a better future.

Submission deadline: August 24th
How to apply: Send images of your work to Nod@noboartdistrict.org with the Subject Line: “Protest Art Group Show Submission”

Your voice matters. Your vision matters. Let’s create an exhibition that challenges, provokes, and inspires.
