Tree Sky Eco Art new public art sculpture ribbon cutting

NoBo Art District continues their sculpture placement program with a new functional sculpture created by NoBo Art District members, Tree Sky Eco Arts. The sculpture will be installed on Wednesday July 26th in the Holiday Park near the existing “film reel” sculptures on the east side of the park. This sculpture was made possible by a grant from the City of Boulder Office of Arts & Culture aimed to hire local artists and in partnership with Holiday neighborhood homeowners association. A public ribbon cutting and celebration with the Artists will be on Tuesday August 1st at 5:00pm at Holiday Park.
This “sustainable” sculpture was created from a reclaimed urban honey locust tree the Artists procured from the City’s forestry department. Celebrating themes of sustainability and modern design, the sculpture is a natural fit to the Holiday neighborhood which is known for its green building features.
About the Artists:
Founded in 2017 in Boulder, Colorado, Tree Sky EcoArt is an environmentally conscious atelier, offering sustainable furniture, decor, sculptural jewelry, and 3D art, all crafted from reclaimed urban wood. Renata and Vit are on a mission to save urban trees from the landfill and breathe new life into them through their discerning hand-processed craftwork. Their European design sensibility blend nature’s rugged allure into their carvings and construction. Each completed piece recovers the tree’s vital energy, giving it a second life.
