Unfailing Hope: Kathleen LeRoy

Unfailing Hope

Solo Exhibition by Kathleen LeRoy

Unfailing Hope is a tribute to our collective need to reach inward — to find, nurture, and carry hope for these times.

Rooted in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, the phrase “shuffle off this mortal coil” speaks to shedding the burdens and troubles of this life. That act of release feels urgently relevant now.

As a lifelong spiritual student and psychotherapist, I believe we will only survive — and rise to our fullest potential — when we consciously clean our channels. That means discerning how much negativity we absorb, and actively balancing it with hope, one of our most natural and essential human qualities.

Hope is not passive. It is something we cultivate, protect, and then share through our gifts, our talents, and our unique abilities. For me, that channel is art.

Painted in acrylics on wood, each piece is grounded in the enduring and the natural — a deliberate choice in a time that often feels anything but.

This body of work is both a personal offering and an open challenge — to each and every one of us — to turn our attention toward reunion. To ask ourselves how we might rediscover the art of living together, across our differences, without losing ourselves in the process.

We are at a crossroads. And I believe beauty, creativity, and unfailing hope are among the most powerful tools we have.

Kathleen LeRoy Bio

Kathleen LeRoy is a contemporary abstract painter based in Boulder, Colorado, driven by an unshakeable belief that there is a still, quiet place within each of us — and that art, both in the making and the viewing, can take us there.

Her paintings are an expression of what she discovers when she steps onto the thread to the unconscious and stirs her soul. Working in acrylics on wood, she builds deep layers of color, then marks, abstracts, and reveals using sharp tools, water, sandpaper, and scrapers. What emerges is what was previously unknown, unspoken — brought to the surface and given form.

A self-taught artist, LeRoy’s work is shaped by a life richly lived — as a psychotherapist, mother, entrepreneur, and lifelong spiritual student. She has honed her craft through mentorships and training with accomplished artists across the U.S., and has participated in over 20 exhibitions throughout Colorado and the western states.

Her work has been featured in galleries including R Gallery and The Collective of Boulder, Osmosis Gallery in Niwot, and Janice Griffiths Gallery in Fallbrook, California. LeRoy is an active member of Open Studios and the NoBo Art District, and regularly exhibits in national shows including those with the Student Art League of Denver.
