Hi, I’m Mya! I’m a ceramic artist, painter, and atmospheric scientist from the great cornfields of Nebraska. I made my ceramics debut in February 2020, learned how to make a pinch pot, and was promptly placed under stay-at-home orders with 25 pounds of clay and nothing better to do. That’ll really expedite a hobby.

Shortly afterwards, I stumbled across painting. I was gifted some acrylics and a canvas during college, then discovered that painting was an excellent way to work through the feelings associated with a pandemic and a cross-country move. Now it’s a cozy indoor hobby that fills my early mornings and late nights, when I don’t want to travel to the studio.

At this point, I’ve created at studios in Oklahoma, Hawai’i, North Carolina, and Colorado, and my style grows more distinct with every move. Follow along on my journey through different artistic forms — I hope you find something that speaks to you!
