Artist Statement:
As an artist, I find my creative voice in a playful exploration of the whimsical, blending light and dark to craft Surreal Dreamscapes and Visual Poetry. Fascinated by life’s ephemeral nature, I strive to capture the wonder and beauty of each fleeting moment.
My art invites viewers on a journey into intriguing contrasts, encouraging them to suspend stereotypical judgments and embrace the “What If.” From acrylics to oil pastels, markers to mixed media, my work spans various mediums, each contributing to a rich tapestry of expression.
With a passion for the tactile, I immerse myself in jewelry making, sculptural wire armatures, and the creation of otherworldly dioramas. Influenced by artists like Hans Ruedi Giger and Albrecht Dürer, I draw inspiration from the unconventional, seeking to transport observers to a world of wonder and whimsy.
Through exhibitions at esteemed galleries like The Denver Art Society and Boulder R Gallery, along with representation by Influx Gallery in Notting Hill, London, my art has found a home on both local and international stages. I’ve been honored to participate in various shows, from the Museum of Boulder to the Jackalope Artisan Festival, each experience adding depth to my artistic journey.
My intent is to spark curiosity, to challenge perceptions, and to ignite the imagination. I invite you to join me in this exploration of the extraordinary within the ordinary, where each brushstroke and line tells a story of surreal beauty and unexpected delight.
