WHAT IS BAA?
We are a group of Artists: the Bold, Artistic, Inventive, Unique, Collaborative people who share a vision to:
- Promote the visual arts in Boulder
- Sponsor art shows, exhibits, and competitions
- Offer workshops and seminars
- Integrate visual art activities into the mainstream of cultural activities in Boulder
- Dues are $30 for individuals,
$45 for families, and
$20 for students. - Memberships are renewable in January of each year
- New memberships received November 1st and later will be good through the following year
The Boulder Art Association welcomes all to be a part of this diverse group of artists and to learn more about appreciating and creating art.

OUR MISSION
The Boulder Art Association (BAA) is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization for beginning, emerging, and professional artists, as well as individuals and businesses contributing to the growth of visual arts in Boulder. Its purpose is to promote the professional growth of visual artists both in the creation of art and the business practices that are essential to marketing and sharing their art. The BAA welcomes all people who like to explore the arts and celebrates the diversity of the arts.
BAA’S HISTORY:
In 1923, Boulder Art Guild was born when Jean Sherwood, art patron and clubwoman, with CU’s Dean of Arts and Sciences, FBR Hellems, agreed that Boulder needed an Art Club. For Hellems, it was a desire to provide CU students with a well-rounded liberal arts education. Read more..
