Los Fantasmas Artist Collective emerges from the spaces between histories, identities, and imagined futures. Named after fantasmas, “ghosts” or “the unseen,” the collective celebrates BIPOC and marginalized individuals often unrecognized for their contributions. As artists of Chicano, Latino, and Indigenous descent, we come together—each with distinct voices, mediums, and practices—to create work that resists erasure and reclaims visibility. This exhibition is not confined by a single narrative or aesthetic. Instead, it is a gathering: a constellation of perspectives bound by shared roots and a commitment to community.
Through our varied approaches, we honor the stories of those who came before us, confront the forces that seek to divide us, and build bridges for those yet to come. Art becomes both shield and offering—a way to connect, to challenge, to remember, and to dream. Together, we create to affirm our existence, to disrupt complacency, and to foster spaces where dialogue, belonging, and transformation can thrive.
