Gallery Hours with Kristin Anahit Cass
October 11, 1–3 PM | NoBo Arts Center

Join us for an afternoon with multidisciplinary artist and writer Kristin Anahit Cass, whose powerful works Make Dolma Not War and Rivers of Time are featured in Fortunate Son: A Protest Art Show. The exhibit named for Creedence Clearwater Revival’s iconic protest anthem, Fortunate Son brings together the voices of 19 artists responding to today’s social, political, and cultural realities through painting, sculpture, mixed media, and installation—works that speak to resistance, reflection, and resilience.

Cass, whose practice spans photography, video, sculpture, and writing, tells stories that imagine the future, connect with ancestors, and envision a more just world. With a background in both the arts and social justice advocacy through her legal career, her work resonates deeply within this protest-themed exhibition. She is the author of Reparations of the Heart: Toward a Compassionate Futurity and a finalist for the Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor Prize for her Borderlands Under Fire project.

Drop in for the chance to discuss the themes behind her featured works and her broader creative practice. Affordable, high-quality prints of her work will also be available for purchase.

Free and open to the public.
