Our community has absorbed global, national, and local tragedies recently and in the distant past. How does a community engage in healing? Many people turn to the arts to express their feelings and heal because it allows personal reflection and invites conversation about how we experience these events which helps people move forward.
First United Methodist Church is looking for 2D art that is about healing on many levels, from personal to community. There is no size requirement, large pieces are welcome. Each artist can submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. The submission deadline is Thursday, August 12.
