Niwot Native Arts Market

Back in March, we held the very first Native Arts Market in the history of the town of Niwot, CO (named after the Arapaho Chief Left Hand – Nowoo3 – pronounced Nuh-Woth). It was such a success that we decided to come back and do it again on June 1!
Niwot will host its second-ever Native Arts Market on Sunday, June 1, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Niwot Hall, 195 2nd Street. This unique event will feature a number of talented emerging Indigenous artists, from Colorado and across the southwest, offering a diverse array of handcrafted artwork for the community to admire and purchase. The event is co-sponsored by the Niwot Cultural Arts Association.
The participating artists represent various Tribal Nations (Apache, Lakota, Navajo, Cheyenne, Haudenosaunee, and Native Hawaiian to name a few) and bring diverse artistic backgrounds to the market. Their work spans traditional Native arts like textiles, beadwork, and pottery, but also more contemporary mediums like digital art and connections to such pop culture phenomena as Star Wars.
If you’d like to see what native artists are doing in 2025, come down and experience it for yourself!
