Artist Call – Celebrating Women, an exhibit at the Sanctuary Gallery

This exhibit is about exploring the many aspects of women. Who are the significant women in your life, family, friends, community? Are there women in our country, our world you admire? Who are the women who stand out in history, science, sports, the arts, humanities, politics, business, education, religion? Who are pioneers, adventurers? What are the traits of women? – the true ones, not the culturally created ones. What are the roles women have chosen or been assigned? – traditional and/or contemporary. Of equal importance are stories of unsung heroines, the voiceless, the oppressed, the discriminated or abused.

First United Methodist Church is looking for 2D art with celebrating women as the theme. There is no size requirement, large pieces are welcome. Each artist can submit up to 3 pieces for consideration and the submission deadline is February 25. Apply here.
