Before she was a student at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, Italy, Marianne Garehime has felt the inspiring influence of foreign cities, landscapes, and the richness of everyday life.
Her interest in the human form, particularly in the context of new cultures, has led her to paint in various countries, including France, Italy, and Egypt. Marianne thinks of her creations as short stories, where she engages the viewer with a dialogue of color and sensation.
As a student of fine art and art history at the University of Colorado, she was first introduced to the fundamentals of plein air painting by southwest artist Ned Jacob, as well as Denver painter, Mark Daily.
